Under the general direction of the Supervisor (or designee), Therapy Services, the Lift Technician serves as a partner in the safe lift/transfer/repositioning process for patients with complex needs and facilitates safe movement/handling of patients; this caregiver also helps to educate the interprofessional care team on proper techniques and equipment to empower safe patient handling on an ongoing basis. This teaching may be done in the classroom or at the bedside during direct patient care.
