KONE have an excellent opportunity for a Lift Tester to join our Installation team on a full-time basis. We are calling for applications in Scotland and North East.
Key accountabilities:
Commission the lift in accordance with the agreed specification parametersTest the lift in accordance with the relevant test documents and KONE standard interpretation of EN81, Lift Directive and/or Design (Essential Health & Safety Requirements compliance)Take measurements and complete the necessary documentationRecord any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift/siteCarry out final inspection and sign the Final inspection documentLiaise with relevant site personnel to ascertain state of liftTake part in meetings and work groups related to quality and technical issuesIs responsible for the lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the liftReport the condition of the lift to the Supervisor who is responsible for site activitiesQualifications and previous experience:
- NVQ 4 or equivalent Lift Engineering qualification. If you already started NVQ4, there is an opportunity to complete it with KONE
- Previous experience as a Lift Tester
- Familiarity with operating systems e.g. Windows, basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN)
- Good written and spoken English
- Clear UK driving licence
