Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to view and discern similar colors. High school diploma or GED equivalency required. Successful completion of on-the-job training programs. Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction. Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop. Occasionally required to kneel. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a 10- hour shift. Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations. Working conditions include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise. Requires standing more than 2/3 of time.

 

Job Tasks:

Uses lift truck mounted AS400 RF system to receive, load, or relocate carpet inventory.  Brings carpet rolls from bins to cut tables in order assigned by AS400 RF system on lift truck.  Processes vendor cuts on cut tables when requested.  Load truck for vender by pulling rolls from inventory.  Uses hand-held RF gun to scan short rolls and carpet on core back into inventory or appropriate area.  Loads scrap carpet and paper cores onto trailers for recycling.  Pulls short rolls from bins and delivers to cut tables.   Pulls padding manually on buggies to bring to cut table for pad orders and determines if order will be a shortage or an overage depending on how many rolls obtained verses order quantity.  Performs daily inspection of lift tuck and fills out inspection report.  Performs cleanup of area at end of shift.  Follows established quality and safety standards.  Other duties as requested by management.
