Lift Truck Operator Night Shift

Position Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):

Perform all job duties using safe work methods.

Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.

Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times.  Works overtime as required.

Ensure adequate supply of packing/packaging material are kept on hand in department.

Properly label, weigh and handle disposition of 1st quality yarn.

Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsible for baling waste.

Communicate regularly with the Lead person when on duty.

Communicate with existing supervisor regarding any changes, problems, or concerns about which knowledge may be needed to run shift.

Check department manager’s board for information that might affect shift.

Maintain housekeeping standards.

Must be willing to operate a lift truck.

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach frequently.

Ability to lift packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds occasionally.

Ability to handle the stress of meeting goals and deadlines.

Ability to travel as required.

Ability to distinguish between colors.

Work Shift

12 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
