Lifting & Rigging Superintendent

Lifting & Rigging Superintendent required for site-based role in Nysa, Poland.
Responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors planning and execution of lifting and rigging operations.
Responsibilities: Ensure that subcontractors have correctly categorized complexity of all lifts in accordance with Fluor requirements. Ensure that subcontractors have completed Fluor lifting checklists for all lifting activities. Coordinating complex lift plan reviews and sign-off with Fluor Heavy Lift & Transport Project Lead. Competency assessments of subcontractors lifting personnel (planners, operators, riggers) Lifting and rigging equipment inspections – ensure equipment is fit for purpose, tagged in accordance with site requirements and that inspection certification has been provided by subcontractors for all lifting & rigging equipment mobilized to site. Management and coordination of SIMOPs in areas were multiple subcontractors operating cranes with overlapping lift radius. Ensure that safe lifting and rigging practices are being adhered to for both crane lifting activities associated with building erection and for manual rigging activities for handling / installing equipment within buildings. Requirements: Extensive experience undertaking or supervising lifting and rigging operations. Extensive knowledge of the principles applicable for the safe planning & execution of lifting and rigging operations. Practical knowledge of the equipment utilized during lifting operations. Able to read and understand standard lifting and rigging plans and method statements. Good communication skills. Qualification: Minimum 12 years relevant experience with site lifting and rigging operations. Relevant lifting / rigging / appointed person qualification.
