**Job Description** Diagnoses mechanical problems, repairs and rebuilds equipment; checks and schedules work with others; orders parts as needed. **Responsibilities** + Inspect and make repairs on all aspects of automotive vehicles and equipment. + Do general and major work on vehicles, buses, light and heavy trucks, graders, and other automotive diesel and mechanical equipment. + Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and related parts. + Tune motors using standard testing equipment. + Repair and overhaul brakes, transmissions, differentials, front and rear axle assemblies; repair and install hydraulic controls. + Perform different phases of tire work and minor body repairs. + Perform emergency road repairs and test vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions. + Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair, and orders parts as need to maintain stock. + Makes service call as needed. + Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. + Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position. + This position has no supervisory responsibilities. + Able and willing to perform duties outside of this job description as the company or specific project requires it for success. **Qualifications** Minimum Requirements + High school diploma or GED equivalent required. + Diesel Technology Degree required. + Minimum five (5) years Mechanic experience troubleshooting caterpillar mining equipment. + Experience must include working with Ford & Dodge trucks 2005-present. + Previous experience working on Ford light vehicles. + Previous remote rotational work experience as a Mechanic required. + Working knowledge of Red Dog Facilities. + Drivers License and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
