Our Macraes Underground Maintenance team are currently looking for a Light Vehicle Maintenance Fitter. Working a 7 days on / 7 days off (day/nights) roster, the role will include the servicing, repair and maintenance of the Light Vehicles as directed by the UG Maintenance Superintendent in order to maintain equipment in a safe and reliable condition.
Mechanically and electronically maintain equipment in accordance with Company SOPs and OEMCarry out planned maintenance, both preventative and scheduledEnsure safe operational integrity of all equipment is never compromised, that no modifications are conducted on any plant that will change it from its original specifications without the correct approvals under the OGL change management processEnsure the necessary lock out procedures are in place before commencing work on a piece of equipmentComplete all necessary pre-start service and repair documentation in a timely and accurate mannerA high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times, ensuring the site is prepared, packed up and cleaned up before, during and on completion of jobsEnsure that the process of maintenance planning, both preventative and scheduled, is in line with OGL Maintenance SOPs and that this is effectively carried out and recordedEnsure that the Superintendent, Supervisor or delegate are aware of the necessary procurement of spares and consumables required to smoothly undertake every jobWhen required assist with maintenance and repairs of heavy mobile plant equipmentMaintain a good understanding of the light vehicle fleet work in progress and requirementsQualificationsLevel 4 National Certificate in Motor Industry or equivalentPreferred but not essential are; certificates in: first aid; forklift; overhead gantry and non-slewing crane; rigging and slinging, and Work at Heights to the relevant NZ standardsNZTA Authorised Vehicle Inspector desirableFull, current and clean drivers licence, and competent driving manual vehicles.Additional InformationResidential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZ.7 on / 7 off (day/night), 12hr shift rosterCompetitive salaryDiscounts on retail and servicesFree Southern Cross Healthcare InsuranceLiving Our Values recognition programOnsite Physiotherapist and nurses suiteFree transport to workStudy assistanceAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respected
