Job Description

The LIMS Product Owner is accountable for delivering Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions for our sites and laboratories. This role encompasses establishing and managing business processes, overseeing project delivery, and providing guidance and support to the IT solution team. Furthermore, facilitating performance monitoring to ensure alignment with optimal laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct a comprehensive mapping of current software applications, identifying their strengths and weaknessesUnderstand business needs and corporate solutions, and develop a strategic roadmapLead IT solution processes and teams (including Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Developers), overseeing implementations and updatesManage personnel: recruit, motivate, empower, and train team members

Plan budgets, manage resources, and costs effectively

Qualifications

This is a highly technical role requiring a robust IT background; knowledge of chemistry-focused analytical laboratory business domains is an advantage.

Degree in IT Technology, Science, Business, or EconomicsMinimum 5-year relevant experienceProficient in business analysis and process mappingFluent in English; knowledge of Hungarian is an advantageAdvanced presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsProven management experience and skills, including Agile and Scrum software development methodologiesFlexible and results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with the following technological stacks:MS Windows environment, thick client (fat client), Visual Basic, BAS, VBS, VB9, MSSQL, stored procedures, SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS), Azure DevOpsUndertake regional travel as needed
