Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and administration of LabVantage (laboratory informatics platform). Candidates with system administration experience in other LIMS systems, such as STARLIMS, LabWare, or SampleManager, are encouraged to apply. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring system performance, data integrity, and user support for laboratory operations.

This is a remote position but there might be a few on-site meetings. The candidate must be able to travel to North Carolina if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and maintain the laboratory informatics platform to meet business needs. Manage system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance. Collaborate with IT, Quality, and Laboratory teams to address system requirements and enhancements. Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions according to security protocols. Ensure data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO standards), and validation of LIMS systems. Develop and maintain LIMS reports, queries, and system documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by end users and provide training or support as needed. Participate in LIMS integration projects involving other laboratory instruments or enterprise systems like ERP or MES.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of system administration experience with LabVantage, STARLIMS, LabWare, SampleManager, or other LIMS systems. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related field preferred. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
