Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage production lines to meet operational requirements effectively. This includes overseeing multiple production lines in collaboration with Training Specialists and Production Supervisors, ensuring assembly processes run smoothly and meet quality standards.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite. This role is contributing to the Production Manufacturing team in Napier. Main stakeholders are IPU (Integrated Production Unit) Leader, Planning and Fulfilment Team, Manufacturing Engineers and Quality and Production Development Team.You will be mainly accountable for:•Leading and managing production lines to meet operational requirements, ensuring high-quality standards using ABB methods and tools such as the NCR database and Kaizen app.•Performing essential production administration tasks, including time and attendance data entry, material picking, yielding, confirming, and booking finished materials.•Sequencing product builds and coordinating documentation, material delivery, and timelines to meet production schedules and achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD) KPIs.•Driving a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean Six Sigma principles, addressing quality issues, and fostering effective communication across teams.Our team dynamic is collaborative, with a focus on efficient problem-solving, mutual support, and maintaining high-quality standards to meet production goals.You will join a dynamic, a highly-performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Strong knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean principles and manufacturing methodologies.Demonstrated history of effective leadership and the ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving goals.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, with expertise in assembly tools, methodologies, and processes.Extensive experience in assembly operations, including interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and instructions.Skilled in using light hand tools and following standardized operating procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.Possess a valid New Zealand work permit or visa, enabling you to work legally in this role.
