About the Role


The line engineer role provides specialist support to our OS Maintenance West Fixed Plant execution teams by identifying, scoping and delivering ongoing improvement opportunities across method of execution, optimisation and tooling evolution. Standardising work is a core area of focus.

Provide expertise to OS Fixed Plant Maintenance deployments in analysis of performance indicators and metrics. Deliver the improvement plan utilising BOS tools and practices. Problem solving to support continuous improvement. Manage improvement ideas from concept to implementation - generating value and driving the achievement of project outcomes. Reporting on project progress and tasks throughout their lifecycle. Monitor operational performance and participate in analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, eliminate waste, seeking to standardise where possible. Implementation of Maintenance redesign initiatives. Build cross-functional relationships with OS Maintenance West Fixed Plant Maintenance deployments and site Fixed Plant Maintenance stakeholders. Incorporate the use of BHP processes and systems during implementation of initiatives (e.g. Management of Change, 1SAP, WAVE, KaiNexus etc.). Provide technical expertise to the Execution teams to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work. About You

 

Logical and analytical mind-set with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement. A proven track record of working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to deliver outcomes, safely mastering maintenance. Exemplifying the OS cultural behaviours and BHP values, you are driven to seek better ways.


You will have
 

The ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, functional areas and a broad range of stakeholders. A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures. Project management experience would be highly regarded. Experience working with iron ore handling conveyors, specifically gearboxes and pulleys. Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of Balance Machines Maintenance highly regarded but not mandatory. Knowledge of Balance Machine Management Standard highly regarded but not mandatory. Electrical background added advantage. Competence with 1SAP highly regarded but About Our Process
