McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Packaging Lineflow Attendant position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. Responsible for ensuring that only quality potato products are allowed to proceed to final packaging through monitoring and analysis of the quality attributes of product exiting the freeze tunnels. Will also control the distribution and quality of product being added back. Is also responsible for directing the activities of the deck area and equipment are kept in optimum sanitary condition.
Accountabilities:
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to assure a quality operation.Responsible for training packaging deck employees and monitoring efficiency rates.Coordinates employee breaks and provides relief as neededInsures sanitation practices and procedures adhered to (Good manufacturing practices).Promotes job safety and follows company rules and proceduresCommunicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervision.Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory and the Company.Monitor quality of product exiting the freeze tunnels as well as bulked product being added back. Insures that all product meets appropriate quality specifications. Quality attributes which will be monitored including but not limited to: finished product temperature, finished product defect levels, sizing and color attributes, texture or solids, carbon and foreign material. Other attribute measures may be requested as deemed necessary by management
Qualifications:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Shift Differential Pay: +$1.50/hr.
