**Overview** The Line Manager – Custodial Services is responsible for supervising custodial staff and ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of university buildings and facilities. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational efficiency across campus. The Line Manager reports directly to the Custodial Manager and supports the day-to-day execution of custodial operations. **Pay:** $60,000 - $65,000/annually The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit Employee Benefits | Staff & Management (https://wpe-media.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Staff\_&\_Management\_No%20Date%209.5.24.pdf) **Key Responsibilities** **Managerial Duties** + Conduct full scope of work evaluations for all custodial frontline staff. + Assign daily cleaning tasks and monitor completion to ensure quality standards are met. + Perform regular inspections of assigned buildings and facilities. + Provide ongoing training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage. **Administrative Responsibilities** + Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability and cost-efficiency. + Oversee payroll adherence for all frontline staff, including hourly Supervisors. + Assist the Custodial Manager with operational planning and execution. + Prepare reports on staff performance, maintenance issues, and cleaning schedules. + Ensure compliance with university policies and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA). **Operational Duties** + Develop and implement cleaning schedules for daily, weekly, and periodic tasks. + Coordinate custodial support for special events, emergencies, and seasonal projects (e.g., floor waxing, window cleaning, snow removal). + Respond promptly to custodial emergencies such as spills, floods, or biohazards. + Operate cleaning equipment and assist staff during shortages or high-demand periods. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred. + Minimum of 3 years of custodial or facilities management experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. + Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. + Familiarity with OSHA standards and other safety regulations. + Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. + Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. **Work Environment** + This position requires regular physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment. + Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
