JOB DESCRIPTION

My View with Lara Trump and Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy are looking for a talented and experienced Line Producer to join the teams in New York. You have stellar communication skills and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and time rundowns

Identify stories, angles, and elements each week

Pitch and execute creative and innovative ideas for segments and guests

Time the shows in the control room, and communicate with hosts clearly and effectively

Responsible for story placement, compelling story teases, and other production elements

Oversee and rewrite copy

Guide associate producers and bookers on best segment elements and editorial practices

Work collaboratively with showrunners and show teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

5+ years of newsroom experience, including 2 years of line producing and relevant control room experience 

Solid news judgment and strong knowledge of politics and current events

Excellent writing skills

Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $84,500.00-95,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $70,400.00-79,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
