Job Summary

The Producer is the logistical and organizational driver behind all DCX content production here at Spectrum Brands. They track and move content production forward from concept to completion; helping to plan, budget, schedule and manage all aspects of the production process. This position works with Brand and DCX Creatives to select, source, and acquire talent, wardrobe, props, locations, and products for content production across all business units. The Producer is the counterpart to our creative team, helping to facilitate and pave the way for amazing creative work and flawless technical execution. This position is the “face” of the department, and the first stop for anyone seeking to begin a project or ask a production related question.

 

**This is a limited term employment position.  The anticipated length is ongoing as the work is project based.  This position is not eligible for benefits.**

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Participates in/facilitates scope regarding video, photo & animation projects. Budgets projects Plans shoots, scouts, selects, and books locations. Assists Director on set, oversees script supervision and keeps production on schedule. Carries out research and pre-production for shoots, scheduling, and coordination all DCX shoots. Develops all production planning and pre-production books. Maintains consistency of brand standards for content production by working closely with all DCX teams (photo, design, copy, animation & video) Contributes to database with local and national talent (human and animal), locations, and crew. Maintains best practices for production, enforces industry standards in the production process, and ensures brand integrity in projects primarily. Maintains clear communication and constant contact with Brand and DCX partners. Education and Experience Profile 6-10 years of Video production experience required. Required Skills Organized and detail-oriented A keen eye for, and demonstrated interest/experience in, content production. Ability to be innovative, creative, and think outside of the box. Flexibility and nimbleness in pivoting based on changes to budget/schedule/reality. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and Workfront Know the production process, both above the line and scrappy DIY style, backwards and forwards A great, positive, “never let them see you sweat” approach to production and client service.
