Vista Aircraft Maintenance is currently looking for a Line Service Technician/Aircraft Detailer to support all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews, and passengers and maintaining aircraft appearance. And will also support other departments: Charter, Aircraft Maintenance and Facilities. This position is based in Van Nuys, California.

 

Vista Aircraft Maintenance Van Nuys is an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station, offering complete nose-to-tail, airframe, powerplant, and avionics care, maintenance, inspection and repair services. The company serves as a dedicated maintenance provider for the Vista fleet

 

Line Service Technician / Aircraft Detailer Responsibilities

Marshall and wingwalk aircraftService aircraft lavatory and potable water serviceLoad/unload baggageClean and/or detail aircraft exterior and interiorTow aircraft upon successful completion of trainingDe-Fuel and Fuel aircraft in accordance with ATA specifications 103Perform daily ramp checks to ensure aircraft are chocked, locked and securePerform scheduled checklists/audits/inspections as assignedAssist pilots with aircraft Pre and Post flight servicesOperate, inspect & perform general maintenance of ground support equipmentAssist other departments as required including facility cleaning and other tasks as assignedProvide basic security to people and propertyDirect people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area

Required education and experience

Valid Driver’s License (restricted licenses are not valid for employment at JetWorx)Pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing, background checks and submit to random testing when requiredComplete NATA Safety First, JetWorx and other job related trainingStrong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone, email and in writingAbility to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient mannerMust be available to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and overtime when requiredAbility to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuumingAbility to work without direct management supervisionMust be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements

Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs and fuel trucks, scissor liftsLifting baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75 poundsBending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 poundsBending below wings to chock aircraftStanding and walking for extended periods of time, running when requiredGood hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision

The compensation range for this position is $44,000-$52,000+.
