Line Tech BBQ 3rd Shift (OVERNIGHT)

Job Description

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Line Technician works with a team of machine operators, process operators and mechanics to ensure the efficient manufacture of high quality food products. Schedule is Mon-Fri 10pm – 630am, and weekends as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Primarily responsible for all lines from processing through packaging. Engaged with all lines activities and management of lines. Handles all day to day activities.  Co-lead green rooms meetings as needed Attend Maintenance green room meetings on a weekly basis Proactively engaged with providing updates to previous and following shifts Communicate all line personnel performance issues with supervisor and team lead Perform planned predictive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on all equipment and machinery responsibility area, using knowledge of high-speed machinery, mechanisms, basic power transmission components, pneumatic devices, basic hydraulics, and electrical devices to observe and troubleshoot line or process.  Write work orders when needed. Drive the improvement of line effectiveness and quality measures. Maintain safety and quality awareness of team Must be able to operate all packaging equipment and teach others on equipment operation. Must be able to perform all Quality checks and update tracking systems (i.e. OEE, Quality Suites)    Responsible for covering breaks for all assigned equipment within department. Coordinates and performs all line size and product changeovers according to production schedule. Analyzes downtime and equipment failures.  Plans, as well as documents line/process repairs.  Prioritize needs with Maintenance Team.  This person has the responsibility to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values. Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs. Work toward achieving an injury free environment. Help to motivate all line personnel to reach performance goals Will be required to assist in the Pourables department as needed. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Computer experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and group situations. Must be able to read and interpret op-codes, instructions, forecasts and other work-related documents, write clearly and legibly.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, rates, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to real world situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong mechanical skills/aptitude, teambuilding, multi-tasking, prioritizing, problem assessment/ troubleshooting, results driven, ability to teach others, initiative, quality orientation/attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork/collaboration, adaptability.
