Overview Starting Wage: $23.65/hr Shift: 8:15 PM - 8:15 AM Great things are happening at the Sister Schubert’s Horse Cave Campus and as we continue to grow the T. Marzetti Company is looking to hire team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world class operational excellence. The position of Line Tech monitors product at different areas of the production process depending on where stationed, for correct size, quality and color, also responsible for removing defective product. When stationed at proofer, the line tech is responsible for clearing faults, starting & stopping proofer, monitoring humidity temperature and speeds. Communicates with supervisors to ensure the correct adjustments are made to make sure the rolls are proofed to standard. Actively participates in department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up. Safety – Marzetti Values: Work Safely Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards. Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility. If required for assigned tasks, successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards. As required, performs daily inspection of any applicable power equipment with proper documentation. As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving. Leads and promotes a strong Food Safety Culture within the facility Completes his/her Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified and participates in problem solving. Ensures compliance to quality, Food Safety Preventive Control (FSPC), FSMA, Food Defense, , OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards. Reviews, understands, and complies with all applicable SOPs containing Process or Preventive Control monitoring or verification, if trained and designated as a Qualified Individual (QI). Communicates any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary. Monitor color and texture of product. Clear faults Start and Stop Proofer Monitor humidity, temperature, and speed Fill out all applicable paperwork correctly and turn into supervisor. Communicates with supervisors to ensure the correct adjustments are made to make sure the rolls are proofed to standard. Provide product samples to lab according to defined requirements. Maintains company standards for cleanliness, safety and productivity in the plant area. Performs tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management. Qualifications Qualification Requirements: Prior machine operating experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and good math skills are required. Positive attitude and problem-solving mentality. Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal formats. Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast- paced environment. Regular on time attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures. Must be able to push/pull 75 pounds short distances. Lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. Stand for up to 12 hours with regular breaks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap. SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards. Employees must inspect the condition of these items daily and replaced said items when they are no longer providing the optimal protection of the Team Member.
