What success looks like in this role:

Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all equipment and software related to Linux server infrastructure and associated components;Document the technical implementation, policies and procedures to support the operational environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of technical implementation documentation, procedures and policies. Where possible propose changes that would make the environment a more effective solution;Ensure compliance with standard practices, processes and enterprise standards;Hardware, OS and Application case follow up and resolution in collaboration with supplier support teams;Support developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans of the servers, server functions and data;Second level and standby support;Administer Application Virtualization solutions;Administer Virtual Systems (VMware);Administer Server Infrastructure Monitoring tools; Server patch management.Provides Systems Administration support for multiple organizations across the company.Engages with clients to gather specifications, requirements and systems expectations.Analyzes and recommends commercially available hardware and software capable of meeting network, systems and user requirements.Contributes to the design, development and maintenance of Systems Administration’s infrastructure (routers, switches and application load balancers).Provides Systems Administration hands-on support, troubleshooting and technical guidanceConfigures and maintains large VMware environments.Designs hardware and software performance, stress and load tests, and makes recommendations based on results.Conducts training sessions with users and Systems Administration team members.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Linux System Administrator.Strong expertise in server and storage hardware and technologies;Strong expertise in operating Linux systems administration (On premise and Cloud environments);Strong expertise in virtualized environments (VMware);Strong expertise in server applications integration and maintenance;Strong expertise in scripting;Expertise with Linux security concepts of applications and operating systems;Experience in an environment using SAN storage technologyEnglish at level B2 minimum
