Responsible for building and automating performant and resilient infrastructure that our business depends on. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute in one or more areas including (but not limited to) better automating our virtualized infrastructure and supporting a containerized infrastructure. To support our team you will need to be experienced, driven, and have strong coding skills in automation. You will be collaborating closely with peers and customers which means you need to be an active listener, detail oriented, and a clear communicator.
What You'll Do
Take a leadership role in designing, building, implementing, and maintaining infrastructureMature the automation efforts of the lifecycle of a server including onboarding, patching, and sunsettingHelp development teams onboard applications to Kubernetes infrastructureBuild and maintain Kubernetes infrastructureUse and administer automation tools such as, Ansible and SaltWrite documentation and provide training around automation toolsEnsure all authored code is well documented and version controlled appropriately via gitResolve escalated issues and perform root cause analysis for complex issuesSupport development teams by ensuring the supporting CI/CD infrastructure is performant, stable, and kept up-to-dateInteract with both internal and external customers during all project phases, from planning to maintenanceBe mindful of customer needs and clearly communicate complex informationDemonstrate a high attention to detail, examining every aspect of the systemExercise strong time management skills by taking on multiple projects simultaneously while debugging issues reported by customersBe attentive to communication and productivity tools ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely mannerRecommend system improvements and changes to systems, as neededParticipate in an on-call rotation including nights/weekendsRequired Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of Systems Engineer or similar experienceIAT II certification and CSSP Infrastructure Support cert. 120 days of hire Advanced understanding of LinuxAdvanced knowledge, including 4+ years of experience, in one or more of the following areas:KubernetesInfrastructure as code managing Salt or AnsibleExperience working with automation tools such as AnsibleExperience with one or more scripting languages, specifically YAML, Python, Bash, and/or RubyExperience using version control tools such as GitWillingness to work on-call rotation including nights/weekends-_____________________________________________________________________________

The proposed salary range for this position is:
