Linux/Python Developer - Onsite
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Linux/Python Developer to join our Tango Project team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, market data analysis, and software development. This role requires a deep understanding of various data types and the ability to work with complex data sets to generate meaningful insights and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

Analyze and interpret market data, including securities, financials, spreads, yield curves, and news. Utilize tools like AC Analytics and BI tools (Excel, Google Sheets) for data manipulation and calculations. Ensure accurate and reliable data within the system through data cleansing, data migration, and data integration.

Report Generation:

Create and generate meaningful reports. Provide insights and analysis on curve data.

Software Development:

Develop and maintain scripts using Unix shell and Python. Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and functionalities.

Data Management:

Manage and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL). Ensure data integrity and consistency across various platforms. Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Linux and Python. Strong understanding of data types and market data. Experience with data management, including data cleansing, migration, and integration. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL). Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (optional, but a plus).

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets. Strong data manipulation and calculation skills using BI tools.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to generate clear and concise reports. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AC Analytics. Familiarity with financial markets and instruments. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation: - $90,000 to $130,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted till 03/12/2025
