Position Description:
Perform administration on WebSphere and Solaris/Linux systems.
This person will work closely with the customer in order to build, implement, and maintain a stable and scalable infrastructure in support of their Enterprise Communication Architecture (ECA) efforts. This new architecture will replace older Notices Architectures and systems. This new architecture and supporting systems will be designed, developed, and deployed using more agile approaches in order to accelerate the rate of change and modernization. The ECA infrastructure will support future Notices processes and multiple delivery channels. The person in this position will provide the infrastructure support for these processes, systems, and multiple delivery channels.
Required Skills / Experience:
1) Perform systems administration functions on WebSphere, Solaris, and Linux systems
2) At least 11 years of experience with these systems (with a Bachelor's degree)
3) Will assist with design and development of WebSphere based applications
4) Be able to troubleshoot systems issues with all three of these platforms
Desired Skills / Experience:
1) Some JAVA SW development skills would be helpful
2) Some knowledge of the Thunderhead Now software tool suite would be helpful
3) Any experience working with the Social Security Administration would be helpful
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
