The Opportunity:


We are seeking a proactive and skilled Linux Administrator to join our secure IT team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience in Linux systems administrator, automation, security implementations, and integration with enterprise directory services. This position requires a current SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on both physical and virtual environments using kickstartsDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code using Puppet and AnsibleImplement and maintain security configurations following Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Proactively troubleshoot complex Linux-related issues and implement solutionsManage user access and authentication using Centrify and Active DirectoryEnsure compliance with DoD security policies and proceduresTake initiative in improving systems, processes, and security measuresCollaborate with other IT teams to maintain system reliability and security in a classified environment 


Qualifications:

Required: 

Active SCI clearance with polygraphCurrent Security+ certification5+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator in a DoD or similar secure environmentProven experience installing and configuring Linux on physical servers and virtual machinesStrong knowledge of Puppet and Ansible for configuration management and automationExcellent troubleshooting skills for Linux systems and applicationsExperience implementing and maintaining security configurations based on DoD STIGsExperience with Centrify for Linux-Active Directory integrationFamiliarity with Active Directory and LDAPBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field experienceDemonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative


Desired:

Additional relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LFCS, CISSP)Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and cablingKnowledge of FISMA, NIST, and other security frameworksExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in classified environmentsScripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
