Linux/Unix Senior Specialist - Infrastructure

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a System Support Senior Specialist in the Linux\Unix system administration to be included in the DCM SysOps Unix Team for the cross-management of Linux\Unix systems including those related to the critical services of JAS (Judicial Authority Systems)

Activity:

Contribute to the management and governance of the Operations of the Unix\Linux servers belonging to the managed infrastructure, supporting the operations, including on-call availability.

Manage the server fleet of managed areas including the JAS and the related service infrastructures, ensuring their availability, updating and alignment with business processes.

Support project implementations, particularly about technology refresh, optimization of licensing costs and performance improvement.

Contribute to the implementation of projects in their management areas, their design and implementation.

Governance of and on Audit and Compliance requirements. (SOX, GDPR, and corporate compliance requirements).

Propose effective solutions for incident management.

Ensure adequate monitoring and reporting of management activities.

Identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Proactively contribute to technical and management activities to achieve the objectives.

Identify opportunities for quality improvement through internal training.

Coordination, assignment, monitoring of offshore activities/ticket teams (CIEC)

Requirements:

At least 5 years' experience gained within complex industrial contexts in the administration and management of 360-degree Linux\Unix systems: RHEL 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, Oracle Linux 6.x, 7.x, Oracle Solaris, HP-UX and related service infrastructures (RedHat Satellite, MOS, Ansible AWX, Ansible Automation Platform, RedHat Insights etc.)

Excellent organizational skills, teamwork and predisposition to stakeholder relations.

Excellent troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills

Ability to manage escalating incidents (L1-L2-L3).

Experience in coordinating with suppliers, partners and system integrators.

Knowledge of English, written and spoken. (B2)

Knowledge of the ITIL process.

Italian nationality and residence for operational compliance in the JAS field

Nice to have:

Industry-standard certifications (Red Hat)

ITIL Certification

Knowledge of IaaS\PaaS solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Knowledge of containerization solutions\architectures (Docker/Podman)

Knowledge of IaaC solutions (Terraform)

Disaster Recovery Management

Knowledge of general compliance requirements in the field of Security, GDPR, SOX
