Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering above-the-line consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and the Navy, Army, and Air Force. 

We are currently seeking candidates for the next phase of a major Defence information environment modernisation program aimed at delivering the design, build, and deployment of their cutting-edge ICT environment.

Support the build, configuration, and optimisation of Linux and Wintel environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and infrastructure issues. Perform routine system administration, patching, backup, and performance tuning. Implement and maintain security controls in line with Defence standards. Document key system configurations, processes, and support procedures.

These roles can be based in WA, NSW or Canberra. Candidates with experience working within the maritime domain will be highly regarded. 

Our work is highly complex and confidential, applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV2 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions on individuals with dual nationality, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
