Our client, a leader in energy infrastructure, is seeking a Liquid Measurement Engineer/Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This position requires experience in hydrocarbon liquid measurement, offering technical support and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of measurement standards and hands-on experience with equipment setup, aligning successfully within the client’s collaborative and quality-focused environment.
Job Title: Liquid Measurement Engineer/Specialist
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid schedule: in office Monday-Wednesday, remote Thursday-Friday)
Pay Range: $55-$65
**What’s the Job?**
+ Provide technical support for NGL and crude oil measurement across processing and transportation assets
+ Guide Field Operations and Measurement teams on best practices for equipment installation and troubleshooting
+ Set up and maintain RTU and communication systems for data transfer between field and office (SCADA/Measurement systems)
+ Stay informed on AGA, API, GPA, and BLM regulations, and help develop compliance strategies
+ Serve as the main point of contact for multiple departments, enhancing measurement standards company-wide
+ Develop, review, and update standards and procedures to support accurate measurement practices
**What’s Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or relevant industry experience in liquids measurement may be accepted
+ 3-7 years of experience in liquid measurement, preferably within hydrocarbon liquids
+ Proficiency in measurement-related calculations and balancing processes for liquid products
+ Experience establishing company standards for measurement practices
+ Working knowledge of AGA, GPA, API standards for liquid measurement, and experience with natural gas, NGL, and crude properties
+ Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs
