Liquidity Data Governance- Assistant Vice President

Global Treasury (GT) is responsible for overall balance sheet management including credit, interest rate, and liquidity risk management.  GT is currently looking for a AVP within the Liquidity Data Governance function to support and lead the development and operation of the data governance frameworks  covering activities across the globe, including data quality issue management, BAU change management, implementation of regulatory instruction changes, managing audit & regulatory review programs, and compliance with the relevant regulations.  The position will report to the Head of Global Liquidity Data Governance & Reporting.

The Liquidity Management analyst will work closely with the broader liquidity management team and with other Functions across the institution with operations that impact the the company’s liquidity position including  Treasury Risk Management, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Capital Planning, Global Markets, Global Credit Finance, Enterprise Data Management, Technology & Change teams.  The key priority for the role is to support and lead enhancement projects related to the company’s liquidity risk management frameworks by ensuring appropriate liquidity measures, monitoring and reporting are in place to effectively measure, model, analyze and interpret  the company’s liquidity risk profile. Additionally, this role will also support the Data Governance framework for firm’s FR-2052a, LCR and RLAP reporting frameworks, including data quality analysis, reporting, and enhancements. The Liquidity Management analyst will coordinate with internal stakeholders within business units, IT, Enterprise Risk Management and Liability Management on liquidity data management.  He/She will develop materials and monthly KPIs that will be used in presentation to executive management in multiple Governance Forums and  also participate in  new product assessments to determine liquidity risk drivers. An ability to drive projects to completion  and effectively working with multiple stakeholders is vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

Develop expertise in the bank’s liquidity risk management frameworks and governing regulationsCoordinate with the broader liquidity management team to ensure consistency of data sourcing and reportsPartner with the information technology team to improve data sourcing and reports automationLead the team through corporate audit reviews and regulatory exams; lead remediation efforts of self-identified issues and promote a culture of risk excellence through continuous collaboration with lines of defenses.Proactively identify and investigate emerging data issues based on daily data quality analytics checks of daily reports and collaborate with cross organizational stakeholders and IT teams for strategic remediationCreate reporting which shows senior management transparency into data issues and remediation, including prioritization and escalation of the most material issuesCollaborate with IT & Change partners to develop requirement documentation, create stories in Kanban Dashboard, participate in daily scrum calls, prioritize change stories, participate in development, testing and deployment of such BAU changesCollaborate with IT & projects teams on new products/business/regulation driven change projectsWould play a key role in the Liquidity Management team for providing monthly data quality KPI and other data management updates to the senior management in multiple governance forums.
