Litigation Associate - Los Angeles, CA **Description:** Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Los Angeles, CA office for a Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in general commercial litigation. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California. **Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:** + Strong research, writing skills, and academic record required. + Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery required. + Experience drafting and arguing motions required. + The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment required. + Exposure to commercial litigation, with knowledge or background in corporate governance or complex business disputes preferred. + Federal, appellate, or chancery clerkship preferred. + Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions preferred. + Trial experience preferred but not required. **Work Environment & Physical Demands** This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. **Physical Requirements** Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position.
