About this RoleThe Litigation Manager is responsible for overseeing litigated and high-risk insured claims within a corporate insurance program. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Quanta Legal Department and provide guidance to third-party administrators (TPAs) to ensure effective management, direction, and resolution of these claims. Additionally, the Litigation Manager may have a small number of direct reports.

What You'll Do Co-manage auto, general liability, and other business insurance claims in collaboration with third-party administrators (TPA), and insurers for compliance with service level agreements.Participate in both in-person and virtual mediations.Review incoming litigation cases and facilitate assignment to external counsel as appropriate.Evaluate indemnity and additional insured tenders, referring to coverage counsel when necessary. Ability to analyze and understand contracts, insurance policies, and other complex documents for risk transfer possibilities.Review claim reserve and settlement recommendations from TPA for accuracy and appropriateness of value.First point of contact for serious incidents requiring urgent internal/external counsel intervention.Work closely with managers, claim team members, and TPA to identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as litigation management, trends, mediation strategies, and coverage opinions.Support the continuous improvement of claim management policies and procedures.Utilize RMIS systems for both TPA and internal claim management.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business or Insurance.10+ years of relevant experience. Experience can be gained from managing property and casualty claims within a corporate claim department or working within a corporate legal department overseeing insured matters. Experience may also come from working as Claims Counsel, Coverage Counsel, or a Claims AttorneyPreferred Education and/or Experience
TPA or carrier claims experience a plusStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectively throughout all levels of the organization with audiences of varying degrees.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Management experienceJ.D. Degree with a minimum of three to five years of relevant legal experience.
