Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join an Am Law 100 law firm in Houston. This role involves assisting attorneys with commercial litigation and complex business litigation matters. Defense experience within a mid-large size firm is highly desired. This opportunity is fully on-site, direct hire, and full time with great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with case preparation from beginning to endManage and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines are metPerform substantive paralegal tasks, including drafting pleadings, notices, and motionsE-file documents with ECF system or local State Court sites under attorney supervisionConduct online PACER researchMaintain and monitor court deadlines and case calendarsCollaborate with attorneys on complex commercial and business litigation matters

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of litigation defense experience in a law firm settingProficient in Microsoft Office programs and eDiscovery databasesTechnology proficient and adaptable to new software2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate preferred (work experience may substitute for education)Flexibility to work overtime as neededPrior experience meeting/exceeding a billable hour requirement
