Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join a great Texas-based firm. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree or a 2-year program completion from an ABA-approved paralegal school, along with 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation. Proficiency in eDiscovery, Westlaw, and Court Alert or other docketing systems is required. Familiarity with Case Logistix and Disco is a plus. Candidates must be adept at managing large volumes of personal injury cases and document production and review. Trial experience in both state and federal courts is preferred. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and one day remote after 90-days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage calendar and assist in meeting deadlinesMeet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projectsDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discoveryComplete filings on Pacer and FiletimeResearch and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources providing a written analysis for attorneys Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statementsPrepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other itemsAssist attorneys with trial preparation; attend trials and hearings as neededDevelop and maintain records of billable hours spent on specific casesPerform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

4-year college degree or 2-year Paralegal certificate requiredUnderstanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings, and processesAbility to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and docketing systems, required; familiarity with Case Logistix and Disco, preferred
