Equifax is currently looking to hire a Litigation Paralegal to support the U.S. Litigation Department. This position reports to the Senior Litigation Project Manager and is responsible for partnering with and supporting the attorneys in the litigation department by performing various tasks related to the attorney’s internal high-volume caseload. This position interacts with other attorneys and paralegals on the team and assists with special projects and reporting as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Support attorneys with specific tasks relating to lawsuits - Calendar case deadlines, draft pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and other case-related documentsCorrespond with opposing counsel, co-counsel, local counsel, and court offices as neededConduct legal research, including of case law and court rulesWhen needed, attend mediations and/or settlement conferences, potentially out-of-state, as the client representativeFile pleadings in state and federal courtExperience You Have:
Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree, a Paralegal certificate3-5 years past experience working as a litigation paralegal in a law firm and/or an in-house legal department.3-5 years of advanced experience with PC skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, and G Suite3-5 years crafting excellent written communications and addressing team members at various levels, including business leaders.What Sets You Apart:
