Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal at our location. This role centers around supporting our team in a variety of litigation matters, particularly in the realms of complex commercial cases and catastrophic injury cases. You will be working onsite, assisting with tasks such as e-filing, case maintenance, and trial preparation. Responsibilities: • Handle e-filing procedures for both state and federal jurisdictions • Manage and monitor case-related deadlines and events through effective calendar management • Prepare discovery requests and pleadings, ensuring their timely submission • Oversee e-discovery and electronic discovery procedures • Maintain and update case details for easy access and review • Produce essential documents as part of case management • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel • Draft and send out correspondence to relevant parties • Prepare for trials by organizing and managing all necessary documents and information • Schedule case-related events, ensuring all parties are informed and available. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required for document handling and editing. • Familiarity with Case Management Software for efficient tracking and organization of legal cases. • Ability to handle Billing Functions, ensuring timely and accurate client invoicing. • Strong skills in Calendar Management to organize, schedule and track case-related events and deadlines. • Experience in Claim Administration, specifically in processing and monitoring legal claims. • Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. • Expertise in Commercial Litigation and Complex Commercial Litigation, managing all aspects of business dispute cases. • Deep understanding of Litigation processes, including the preparation and filing of legal documents. • Knowledge of Litigation - Plaintiff, working on behalf of plaintiffs in legal disputes. • Experience in preparing and managing Litigation Documents, ensuring they are accurate and properly filed. • Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal, supporting attorneys in all stages of litigation. • Familiarity with Litigation Support software, aiding in the efficient management of litigation cases. • Proficiency in using Relativity for eDiscovery, document review, and case management. • Experience with iManage for document and email management. • Expertise in Trial Preparation, including gathering evidence, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial binders. • Understanding of Discovery process, including drafting requests and responses. • Experience in handling Discovery Requests and Discovery Responses, ensuring compliance with legal procedures. • Knowledge of e-Discovery and Ediscovery processes, managing electronic data during the discovery process. • Familiarity with Electronic Discovery, specifically in identifying, collecting, and producing electronically stored information.
