Litigation Secretary
**Summary:** Primarily responsible for preparing files for suit by updating the firm’s case management system with new information received from clients. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Reviews correspondence from clients to determine if all appropriate documents have been received + Enters all appropriate data to compile and update case files + Prepares files for suit + Performs research on pre-suit files to confirm address information + Researches and locates correct entities + Other duties as assigned **Other functions may include:** + Skip tracing for basic information + Issuing summonses and following up on case numbers + Contacting clients for affidavits and clarification on case files **Education and/or Experience:** + High School Diploma or equivalent + 1 - 2 years administrative experience **Skills & Ability:** + Typing 40 - 45 wpm with less than a 5% error rate + Intermediate Proficiency Level utilizing Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Web Browser + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Excellent organizational and research skills + Ability to follow instructions + Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high volume environment + Ability to work independently as within a team environment + Ability to adapt to frequent change + Must possess a Positive Attitude + Detail Oriented **Physical Abilities:** Prolonged keying and sitting; lifting up to 25lbs infrequently; occasional standing and walking.
