The Litigation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of workers' compensation litigated claims for injured workers within a self-insured framework. This role involves coordinating with the Claims Management Team to ensure timely and effective management of litigated claims to facilitate a timely and positive resolution for all parties. The Litigation Specialist will collaborate with other litigation providers, medical providers, team members, and management to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in managing business process transactions and teams, actively supporting efficiency and compliance.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards.Collaborate closely with managers and senior leadership.Manage and report on litigated matters within the Woolworths Self Insurance portfolio.Analyse data to identify areas for enhancement.Support the development of strategic plans for process optimization.Participate in claims strategy reviews and actions to maximise outcomes for all.Act as a bridge between senior leadership and analysts, facilitating communication.
 

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.Proven experience in business process transactions.Proficiencies in business process management and optimization.A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology.Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively.Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) or significant relevant work experience a plus.
