Prestage Farms is looking for a Commercial driver to safely and efficiently clean out turkey brooder houses and deliver litter to said destination by performing the following duties. + Shovel, blow, and haul litter while following BIO-SECURITY regulations. + Load & unload trucks when at destination + Must ensure tarp cover is securely fastened. + Ensure that the tractor and trailer is clean each day inside and out to include filling tank with fuel at the end of each. + Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. + Document and log work/rest periods + Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. + Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. + Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations + No recent moving or driving violations. + Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) + Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations. + Trucking School Certificate of Training or at least 1 year of actual commercial driving experience + Valid CDL class A license ADA REQUIREMENTS: Ability to walk, stoop, bend, climb, repetitive motions, see and distinguish colors, and hear Benefits In addition to very competitive pay employees of Prestage Farms receive: + Sick Pay + Vacation Pay + Holiday Pay + 401(k) Plan + Medical Insurance + Voluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Etc.
