Description

This position grasps the live bird with both hands at the base of the thigh, making sure the bird head is turned away from the shackle, then place both feet of the bird onto the shackle.  The motion is repeated for the entire shift.  the birds weighs 4-5lbs.  Team members are required to hand 25 birds per minute.  Work Enviornment:  This position is required to stand by the conveyor for the entire shift at temperatures ranging with the temperature outside.  Safety Equipment:  Googles, cotton gloves, rubber gloves, cotton sleeves, smock, boots, hair nets, ear plugs and beard net.  

Tasks

Applicants will be considered for openings in any department which may include, but are not limited to, Live Receiving, Evisceration, Giblet Packout, Giblet Harvesting, Liver Harvesting, Paw Line, Reprocessing, Chiller Rehang, Further Processing, Debone, Debone Packout, Tub Room, Halving, Trim Portioning, I-Cut, Master Pack I, Master Pack II, Master Pack III, Master Pack IV, Cut-Up, and WOG Line. 

All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.

This facility accepts rehires after 180 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
