Live in Couple Job in Dorset

We have a wonderful position for a returning client of Greycoats. They are looking for a dedicated couple to take care of their beautiful family home in Dorset. The ideal couple will have worked within a similar role, have a positive and pro-active attitude and enjoy working together and with others. The property has been newly renovated and completed to a very high standard. Candidates will be able to grasp the house quickly as the family move into their new home and settle into the area.  Previous systems experience (plant room, security, IT& telecoms) and building maintenance experience will therefore be helpful.  The family have their working premises on the property, as well as guest accommodation, and the couple will be responsible for keeping buildings outside of the main house to a high standard.

The family consist of 3 children aged 10, 12 & 14 years old. They also have a Dog.

A live in Housekeeper is also employed alongside a Gardener once a week

Duties to include but not limited to:

Housekeeping to a high standard

Laundry, ironing and fabric care to include dry cleaning. 

Evening turn down

Seasonal changes for the interior of the property

Provisioning for the household

Running errands and shopping

Driving duties and vehicles care (helping with school runs and train station drop off etc)

Helping prepare simple family meals, alongside the other Housekeeper

Interior and exterior security of the property, to include locking / opening of the property and responsible for the security systems, including as keyholders

Take care of interior fabrics, surfaces and fixtures

Maintain and monitor the interior systems, such as water, under floor heating, telecom, and plumbing

Maintenance of interior appliances throughout the property

Arrange and liaise with contractors 

Keep records, accounts, receipts and manuals in order: to include - guarantees, planned contractors and any major maintenance schedules  

Interior and Exterior maintenance of the property, to include the main house, guest house, office and out buildings.

Seasonal changes for the exterior of the property

Groundsman duties such as watering, lawn mowing etc

Swimming pool maintenance

Staying in the family house when the family are travelling for the security of the house

Pet care

Occasional babysitting

This is the ideal role for a couple who have a great work ethic, work to a high standard, communicate well and are able to work independently together, and alongside others.  This is a busy home and the family require a couple who are well organised, hardworking, reliable, loyal and able to take initiative. The Couple both work full time so they do not want to have to micro manage.

Start date: Flexible for the right couple

Working week: Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work

Hours: 8am – 6:30pm with a break  

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 gross per annum, depending on experience

Accommodation: 3 Bedroom cottage, with own garden and garage. Bills included. No pets ideally but one well behaved pet might be considered.
