Live in Head Housekeeper (Self Employed)
Looking to work on a beautiful country estate? A fantastic opportunity for a live in Head Housekeeper in Scotland! Must be self employed

Job Summary:
We are working with a client who is now looking for a self employed and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee and managed the upkeep of a private residence in Scotland. This role will report into the House Manager. The estate is currently under renovation, they will look to employ more staff which the Head Housekeeper will be involved with in that process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high end Housekeeping and demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver a high standard of service consistently. Flexibility with working hours may be required, including occasional weekends or evenings, depending on the household’s needs.

Job specification:
• Oversee and execute all aspects of housekeeping, ensuring the property is impeccably maintained and always presented.
• Perform high-level cleaning, including care for delicate surfaces, fine fabrics, and luxury items.
• Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, steaming, and the care of high-quality garments and linens.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and household essentials.
• Maintain a clear and efficient cleaning schedule,
• Liaise with the House Manager regarding any maintenance issues or special requests.
• Supervise and coordinate with the other housekeeping staff
• Respect confidentiality and ensure the security and privacy of the property at all times.

Candidate specification:
• Proven experience as a senior or head housekeeper in a high-end private household,
• Knowledge of fine dining service, etiquette, and table arrangements.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• A valid driving license and own vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Work well in a team with other members of staff
• Pet friendly – dogs

Accommodation: Spacious bedroom with ensuite and separate entrance – will be offered a separate home on the property in the future – partners will then be welcome
