About the Family and Children:
The family lives in a beautiful country home with lovely gardens (including an organic vegetable garden) and a heated swimming pool.
The house is situated on the edge of a picturesque village in the Ryedale Area of Yorkshire. The village benefits from a shop, bakery, and a pub, just a 40-minute drive from York station, making London easily accessible (only 1hour 50 mins to Kings Cross). Beautiful walks, the North York Moors, the coast, and Castle Howard are all within easy reach.
The family also have a house in London (Holland Park).
This is a warm, loving family with three energetic and engaging children. The children have varied interests including science, nature, art, ponies, pets, and swimming. They love jokes, pretend play, and playing with their friends. The family enjoys spending time outdoors.
Pets include a dog, two guinea pigs and two ponies which are kept in the next-door village.
The family also employs a gardener and full-time housekeeper.
Both parents are self-employed, hence there is some flexibility with the nannies’ working hours.
Expectations and Duties:
The right candidate should be energetic and active and revel in the prospect of being in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Ideally with some experience handling horses (even at a very basic level would be helpful). The children love their ponies so someone who is comfortable at lending the mother a hand with 3 children and their ponies would be great.
The candidate should have good EQ and be adaptable and capable of creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for the children by creating fun, engaging, and educational activities.
A flexible, can-do attitude would be perfect. The ideal candidate would be happy to get stuck in and willing when time allows to do other family tasks such as: shopping and grocery online orders as well as some of the family cooking.
A nanny with a good sense of humour would be a great fit. But at the same time possess the ability to maintain a professional demeanour with impeccable discretion and confidentiality at all times are a must.
The ideal candidate would also be able to prepare delicious and nutritious meals to ensure a healthy and varied diet for the children and the family. The family place great importance on good nutrition, so an interest in nutrition or willingness to learn would be ideal.
The nanny must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
