A family of four located in Lisbon is looking for a fun and organized nanny to care for the two children. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a long-term position, wants to become part of the family and is able to build strong relationships with children.
The ideal candidate will provide excellent childcare, with a focus on learning and imaginative play, assist with household duties related to the children, and support the family in daily routines. This role requires flexibility, organizational skills, and a genuine love for working with children.
Job specification:
• Provide attentive and nurturing care to children and supporting their day-to-day needs
• Actively plan and engage in daily activities and schedules to promote their learning, creativity, and physical activity
• Assist with tutoring and homework, ensuring academic progress and support
• Attending activities and outings when the children are not at school
• Undertaking all housekeeping in relation to the children (e.g., laundry, tidying up toys, maintaining cleanliness in children’s spaces).
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Travelling with the family on vacations and supporting the children during travel time
Working hours:
• School days – 7am to 7pm (with break during the day)
• Weekends/school holidays – 8am to 6pm
Accommodation: Own bedroom and shared bathroom (potential own bathroom)
Candidate specification:
• Fluency in English (Portuguese is beneficial)
• Full EU driving license is required
• Valid visa/passport for residency and travel within different countries
• Proven experience in active childcare and activity planning
• Ability to cook and prepare meals for the children
• Highly organized and proactive in both work and daily life
• Comfortable with household cleaning tasks related to the children
• Preference for older candidates with extensive experience in childcare
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
