Sole charge Live in Qualified Nanny position – offering own bedroom and bathroom

 

A family with two children aged 9 months and 20 months is looking for a live-in Nanny to join them. The family are currently based in Wembley Park but plan to eventually move closer to Central London in spring/early summer.

The role involves sole charge of the children, providing full care and support while managing their daily routines, activities, and meal preparation. As a busy family, they require someone who can support their busy schedule, offering educational and developmental support tailored to the children’s individual needs. The father works overseas, and the mother is a full-time student completing a PhD while working part-time, making this position ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and can work independently.

The accommodation offered includes a separate room within the household, ensuring privacy and comfort. The ideal candidate will hold a childcare qualification and have experience as a sole charge nanny, with a caring, patient, and flexible approach to childcare.

Job specification:
• Provide sole charge care for the children, managing daily routines (meals, activities, bedtime)
• Encourage educational and creative activities for the children’s development
• Handle children’s laundry and maintain a tidy environment
• Offer emotional support and create a nurturing atmosphere
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Communicate regularly with parents on the children’s progress
• Monitor the children’s health and wellbeing, including administering medication if necessary
• Occasional travel with the family as required
• Adapt to a flexible, ever-changing family schedule

Accommodation: Own bedroom and own bathroom

Candidate specification:
• Must be Norland or Montessori trained
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sole charge nanny role, particularly in a private household setting
• Experience in caring for children of varying ages
• Ability to manage and organize the daily routine of children
• Ability to adapt to the family’s ever-changing schedule
• Traveling with family up to 3 weeks in the gulf area or Europe
• Design and develop a delightful, engaging play area that fosters creativity and exploration, incorporating thoughtful methods to enhance children learning and enjoyment

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
