SummaryWe are actively seeking a hardworking, energetic, self-starter to join our Diagnostic team based in Washington, IN as an Live Operations Intern. Perdue's summer internship program is designed to combine knowledge learned in the classroom with meaningful, real-world experiences.
Our Live Operations intern will become familiar with the workflow of live operations and giving you learning and shadowing opportunities across live production teams and departments. The internship will be tailored to the interests of the intern and experience level to maximize the learning experience. The intern will be fully immersed and actively participate in all aspects of business in Live Operations.

10-12 Week Summer Program Hands on learning and exposure to various levels of leadership within Perdue Competitive Wages Summer Housing Stipend Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develops an understanding of the Live functions to include production processes, animal husbandry and technical skills. Manage a project throughout the summer to improve overall live performance or address a business need relative to location. Completion of weekly assessments to demonstrate learned material. Rotation to include hatchery, feed mill, grow out, breeders and harvest facilities. Will perform legitimate roles and responsibilities as needed in the business unit. Will participate in learning events to develop an understanding of the Company, Agri Stats and soft skills training. Must have a valid State Drivers License and be approved to drive a Company vehicle. Minimum EducationRequired:
Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Preferred:
Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management or Business Administration. 3.0 GPA or higher. QualificationsRequired:
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well within a team setting, as well as independently. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate in a team atmosphere.
