Live Operations Support Specialist

Primary Purpose

Responsible for facilitating daily MTech transactions and ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the Live Operations department. This role involves managing vendor purchase orders, performing cost center allocations, validating scale tickets from plants and feed mills and assisting in weekly settlement preparations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Process and manage vendor purchase orders and ensure accuracy and timeliness in line with company policies. Allocate costs to appropriate cost centers, maintain accurate records and support budget management. Assist in the preparation and execution of weekly settlements, including reconciliations and reporting. Validate and verify scale tickets from plants and feed mills, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in daily transactions. Maintain and update MTech systems with accurate and timely information, supporting operational efficiency. Work closely with other departments, such as Procurement, Finance, and Operations, to resolve issues and optimize processes. Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, the USDA transparency rule and relevant regulations in all MTech-related activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field is preferred. 2 - 5 years’ experience in operations, supply chain management or a related field, with a focus on transaction management and process improvement. Previous experience working in a vertically integrated poultry company preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in MTech systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks. Practical Live Operations knowledge.
