Live out Gardener Job in Oxfordshire

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely returning client who is looking for a live out Gardener. The large parkland style property in South Oxfordshire comprises of 10 acres. The garden has been landscaped designed and is currently under construction. Planting is due to be completed Autumm 2025, however, areas of the existing garden will require ongoing maintenance between now and then (mowing, hedge trimming, managing weeds etc)., in addition to ongoing care post completion.

The area close to the house has several borders with herbaceous perennials, shrubs and ornamental grasses. As you move away from the house, the area transitions to lawn and meadow planting with mown paths through wildflowers and an orchard area for a wilder feel. A former paddock to the west has now been dedicated to natural grassland with mown paths.

Duties:

We envision the garden will require: 

General tidying, weeding and pruning of all existing and new planting Formal lawn care (mowing of cricket green and specified rear lawns) Mowing of strips in paddock ongoing and 1 x year full paddock chop) Application of feeds & soil improvement (e.g. mulching) Maintenance / management of productive veg garden and care of fruit trees Ongoing control of pest & diseases as required Check, tend to & replace plants where necessary Cleaning / sweeping / jet-washing of paved areas as required Ongoing cleaning & care to any pots / planters Hedge maintenance Irrigation management (to trees and planting beds) Ongoing plant care & advice

A confident driver is essential

Working week: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. Fewer hours will be considered for the ideal candidate

Start: Flexible for the right candidate

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 gpa. Negoitbale depending on experience
