An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Collection Keeper to join the team at Washington Wetland Centre. This position will give the right candidate the opportunity to work with a diverse collection of waterfowl, Chilean flamingos and our family of Asian short clawed otters.

The successful candidate will support the Collection Manager in achieving the highest standards of animal husbandry and welfare as well as working with the collection team to maintain and improve our exhibits showcasing the spectacular variety of wetland wildlife.   As an engaging and dynamic animal keeper you will have a key role to play in creating unforgettable experiences for our visitors by delivering high quality talks and events, sharing your knowledge of conservation with people of all ages. You will also take ownership of the horticultural aspects of the collection team's work plan.   This is a permanent, full time role, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.
