The Continuous Hammer team is growing! We provide critical regression test coverage for Apex and Packaging.  Hammer is an A/B testing tool that ensures the Apex Compiler and Runtime has not regressed before we ship a new release.  Hammer runs on more than 210 million customer written Apex tests in production.  These test results are analyzed to log bugs to Apex and the rest of the Platform teams.  Become part of a critical team that creates and builds out a framework to automate regression testing and ensure customer trust.


Primary responsibilities
Sound computer science concepts in the area of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, operations systems, design patterns, caching, databases, etc.
Deep understanding of object oriented programming and experience with at least one object oriented programming language, preferably Java.
Solid knowledge of Database technologies such as SQL, and relational database schema design.
Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using various testing frameworks.
Familiarity with A/B testing and associated analysis.
Experience with public cloud technologies like AWS, GCP etc.
Experience with Agile development processes, CI, CD, and TDD.
Ability to learn quickly and deliver high quality code in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Ability to analyze complex systems and failure modes and build technical strategies for improvements based on those findings.
Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills, outstanding attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well within the team and also consult with influence across teams.


Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic field and 3+ years of professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
Familiarity with Spark’s machine learning and HBase a plus as these are used to perform Hammer analysis.
Skilled in an OOP language, preferably Java (C# is okay too).  Scala experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
You will be collaborating with teammates and customers who are geographically distributed; clear communication is a must-have.
Self-motivated, eager to solve problems and drive to completion, willing to work with others. We encourage pair programming and we require collaboration on design, code reviews, and testing.
Hybrid engineer, able to design and implement your own code as well as review, test, and write test automation for other engineers’ code.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $151,800 to $243,100.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $265,200.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
