The JOB

Live Nation concerts and touring creative team is searching for an art director to lead our design team alongside the creative director, guiding our group of creatives who are known for exceptional creativity. The ideal art director will bring a mix of design and marketing knowledge to the position. We are looking for an experienced manager, who can inspire and be inspired by others, taking our creative to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that will tie together our creative on all our channels. 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Design Creation: Lead in the creation of a wide range of design materials, including but not limited to marketing collateral, print advertisements, branding assets, website graphics, social media content and presentationsEffectively communicate with the design team to make necessary modifications and revisions to existing design based on feedback and requirementsBrand Consistency: Maintain brand consistency throughout all design projects, ensuring adherence to established brand guidelines and standardsLayout and Composition: Apply advanced design techniques, typography, and color theory to create aesthetically pleasing layouts that effectively communicate the intended message and engage the target audienceConcept Development: Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for design concepts, leveraging your experience and understanding of cutting edge design principles to create impactful and effective visual solutionsArt Direction: Provide guidance on design best practices to designers, video editors and motion designers, ensuring the quality and consistency of design deliverablesCollaborative Approach: Work closely with the design team and other departments to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and deliver high-quality designs within established deadlinesFile Management: Organize and maintain design files, ensuring proper version control and accessibility for the teamResearch and Inspiration: Stay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to the teamSupport recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding various design team members

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Minimum 5-7 years experience in Graphic DesignA degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills will also be consideredProficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects) and familiarity with design principles, layout, and typography. Proficient Mac userDemonstrated ability to think creatively and develop unique design concepts that effectively communicate messages and evoke desired emotionsStrong eye for detail and the ability to deliver accurate and precise designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project requirementsDesign and illustration for print is a plusBackground in motion design and video editing is a plusEffective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesA team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsWillingness to learn and adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and project requirementsA strong portfolio showcasing your design capabilities and demonstrating your understanding of design principles and techniquesLive Nation’s policy regarding vaccinations and masking related to a pandemic or other infectious disease control measures, acts of God, health and safety mandates and/or restrictions imposed by applicable local, state or federal governments has evolved over time. The expected compensation for this position is:

$100,000.00 USD - $125,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
