LNG Engineer
The LNG/LPG Engineer will provide engineering and technical services to support the compliance activities at the LNG and LPG facilities across Massachusetts and Connecticut. We offer a unique and exciting opportunity to explore the best of both worlds, working both in the office and the field. The role collaborates closely with Operations and Engineering to maintain adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Responsibilities include regulatory reporting, conducting audits, supporting compliance initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in safety and operational excellence to maintain regulatory readiness. The Engineer will play a key role in interpreting and implementing industry standards while assisting in the development of policies and procedures that enhance the compliance culture within the organization.

Essential Functions: 

Under direction, performs internal compliance assurance activities to assess level of compliance with existing and proposed federal, state or industry legislation and regulations.Develops and reviews procedures and policies to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, federal, state and local regulations and codesCoordinate the collection of compliance documents to support regulatory filing requirements and information requestsAssists in the oversite of construction, operation and maintenance activities to ensure specification and code compliance. Ensure compliance with field procedures and the coordination with other Eversource Gas Business GroupsReviews purchase requisitions, and invoices related to departmental activity.Assists in gas distribution system/LNG restoration efforts during emergencies

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Thorough knowledge of liquified natural gas operations and maintenance work practices and proceduresKnowledge of applicable regulatory code and regulationsKnowledge of natural gas principlesWorking knowledge of environmental requirements affecting related activitiesFamiliarity with MS Office

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Experience:             

Minimum of three (3) years of related experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The annual salary range for this position is $97,570.00 to $108,410.00, plus incentive. Employees working in this position may be eligible to receive a rotational shift pay adder upon completion of training. Working Conditions:

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.
