Load Balancing Engineer

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Load Balancing Engineer to support Customs and Border Patrol Enterprise Network Architecture and Engineering Support Services (CBP ENAESS). This position will be located in Ashburn, VA, and will be onsite with flexibility for remote work. 

Responsibilities

The Load Balancing Engineer for CBP ENAESS will be responsible for maintaining and administering local traffic manager (LTM) and global traffic manager (GTM) platforms to facilitate optimal performance of enterprise-wide applications / projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required:
• Experience developing with F5 iRules creation, adjustment, and troubleshooting to leverage F5’s ability for advanced routing and incoming traffic.
• Experience implementing and supporting application load balancing using F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM products.
• Experience with integrating identity access and management capabilities such as OKTA, Microsoft Active Directory, and other identity technology and cloud providers.
• Experience with integrating identity access and management capabilities such as OKTA, MS Active Directory, and other identity technologies and cloud service providers.
• Experience with deploying Multi Factor Authentication standards for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in network architecture and/or network engineering.
• Experience with load balanced application analysis and capacity planning to facilitate application migration from legacy location to modernized environments and clouds. CBP


Preferred:
• Successfully passed CBP Background Investigation (BI).

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
